Thank you so much for sending me this article on survival gardening. But I’m just wondering… are you insane?!? This woman’s garden is an entire acre! My garden is the size of a small tablecloth.
We have already eaten two salads of baby spinach and lettuce this season, which puts us well on track to surpass last year’s production of three heads of spinach and a single pea. Still, I’m not likely to be harvesting wheat anytime soon.
You’re right, though. She does make it sound easy. And if we choose an acreage rather than the house across from the school, we could totally do this on our retirement commune.
Until then, I’m going to IGA for my flour.
