Someone I know bought a copy of Canadian Girls Who Rocked the World for a young friend on Saltspring Island, and I signed the book for her. A few weeks later, that same young friend met Barbara Ann Scott, the figure skater, at an event on the island. Barbara graciously signed her profile in the book.

Which made me wonder how many of the “girls” in the book are still living, and how many signatures one could collect…
