I’m going to strain to the extent of my math abilities here, and write an equation:

book with editor x (revision workshop + inability to revise until manuscript is returned) = angst

I’ve been trying to add to another project instead, but it’s not working. I write one mediocre paragraph, then another, then I write something about a bird and I think … birds … pigeons … there’s that sentence about the pigeons in my other book … I should move that forward … or maybe delete it … who wants to read about pigeons anyway? … when’s my manuscript coming back?

Angst.
