Thanks to a sick kid who insisted I sit on the couch with him all yesterday morning, I read Cormac McCarthy’s The Road in about 24 hours. McCarthy is the author of No Country for Old Men. His newest novel is about a father and son wandering a blackened, post apocalyptic world where nothing lives and nothing grows. Though they’re searching for “good guys,” the only people they find are roving bands of cannibals.
Would you believe that this was about a thousand times less depressing than I Live Here?
