I saw an ad for this book in the Walrus and I interrupted Min’s UFC broadcast to tell him how much I wanted a copy. Well, look what appeared on my bedside table last night:
A Writer’s Life: The Margaret Laurence Lectures. It’s a collection of 25 essays (originally lectures) on “A Writer’s Life,” written by just the sort of people I happen to idolize — June Callwood, Timothy Findley, Dorothy Livesay, W. O. Mitchell, P.K. Page, etc, etc.!
It’s a tome — just what’s needed for the first week of summer vacation.
