Completing a manuscript is like competing in the playoffs. Your hair goes uncut. You don’t change your socks (not because you’re supersitious, but because you haven’t done laundry in two weeks). And, hmmmm… a third point would fit really nicely here, but that’s all I know about the playoffs.
