I discovered that when I’m without the web for a week, I can do a surprising amount of reading. Here are my two favorites from my time without technology:
I liked Sister Wife so much that I couldn’t say no to Kat’s Fall when I saw it on the shelf. And it was just as absorbing, with a wonderful twist at the end. This is a book with lots of plot strands, but they all tie together in that not-too-perfect but perfectly satisfying sort of way.
Doesn’t this one have a great cover? Who could look at that shot and not want to read? Plus, there are pirates, a gunfight, Middle Eastern political tensions, and survival at sea. Diane Tullson, I am officially in awe.
