On the recommendation of Deborah Hodge, I picked up The Butcher and the Vegetarian. (Who could resist that title?) It’s kind of a lighter (much lighter), feminized, and funny version of The Omnivore’s Dilemma. And Deborah was right… it does have a great surprise ending.
